General Maintenance Engineer III (FT) (AM/PM) ("Ingeniero/a de Mantenimiento III")

SUMMARY The General Maintenance Engineer III ("Ingeniero/a de Mantenimiento III") assists to ensure equipment, physical plant, and property are maintained properly so that equipment operates at optimum levels. Earn $1000 for Culinary, Engineering, Housekeeping, and $350 for all other roles. Free Meals & Refreshments during working shifts.

Completes work assignments and tasks in cooperation with other facility technicians in a team-oriented environment.

Works with the Maintenance Planning department to evaluate needs for all work requests--both scheduled and unscheduled--as well as any special projects that arise.

Follows up on preventative maintenance on refrigeration units, plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, and any other mechanical systems.

Assists in repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

Reviews and maintains maintenance logs, and completes any and all documentation necessary to the completion of a task.

At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training. Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.

Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.

The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
