Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Step-Down ICU and ICU Units
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Step-Down ICU and Intensive Care Units. This position requires candidates to have substantial experience in an ICU setting at a Level 1 Trauma Center, with a willingness to float to Step-Down ICU as needed.
Qualifications:
Current Illinois RN License
CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional patient care.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care, adhering to state laws and practice acts.
Document patient care in accordance with established standards of care.
Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans, as prescribed by a physician and/or hospital policy, including providing instruction to patients and families.
Engage in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include participation in shared governance.
Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of patient's longitudinal care plan.
Employ critical thinking to enhance patient safety and experience, escalating concerns to the appropriate chain of command when necessary.

Shift Information:
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
