Pharmacist In ChargeA growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced pharmacist in charge to oversee daily pharmacy operations at a retail pharmacy location in Nacogdoches, Texas. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe and accurate dispensing practices, maintaining regulatory compliance, supervising pharmacy staff, and supporting high-quality patient care.Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMKey Responsibilities:Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and clinical appropriatenessDispense medications and provide counseling and education to patients as neededMaintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentationOversee pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, labeling, and expiration monitoringEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulationsMaintain current knowledge of HIPAA, Fraud Waste & Abuse, and other healthcare compliance requirementsSupervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily workflow activitiesAssist with technician scheduling, performance feedback, and operational oversightPromote efficient pharmacy operations and a high standard of customer serviceCollaborate with leadership regarding staffing, workflow, and operational needsPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degreeActive pharmacist license in the state of TexasMinimum of 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experienceStrong leadership and team management abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience working with pharmacy patient management systemsAbility to maintain regulatory and compliance standardsPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience leading pharmacy operations in a retail healthcare settingExperience mentoring or supervising pharmacy techniciansStrong organizational and inventory management skillsKey Skills Required:Retail pharmacy operationsLeadership and staff supervisionRegulatory complianceMedication dispensing accuracyInventory managementCustomer and patient communicationPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periodsFrequent use of hands and fine motor skills for medication preparation and dispensingAbility to handle pharmacy tools, equipment, and productsWhy This Location?
