Chemist Position

Industrial Inspection & Analysis is looking to hire a Chemist at our materials testing laboratory located in St. Industrial Inspection & Analysis (IIA) is an emerging, high growth inspection, testing, and analytical business seeking to build a national platform in order to serve a breadth of industrial sectors and geographies. Our lab is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited by The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), certified by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and is Nadcap certified for Non-Destructive and Material Testing.

The primary job function is to perform chemical compositional analyses of numerous materials from various industries utilizing instrumentation including but not limited to GC-MS, DSC, TGA, ICP-OES, SEM/EDS, and XRF. The Chemist will also:

Prepare reagents, prep samples consisting of complex matrixes (products), liquids, and solid materials and analyze according to published methods.

Perform acid digestion of various metals, ores, and slags materials to identify the chemical composition and best match to industry standard

Create beneficial customer relationship through accurate and timely communication

Maintenance of equipment, routine, and non-routine.

Citizen or Permanent Resident

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry

A self-directed mindset with the ability to work under minimal supervision is critical to this position

Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Work will be performed primarily in lab and occasionally onsite at client facility
