The Secretary 2, Head Start Program, will provide clerical support to the various service areas of the Head Start Programs. All district employees must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. Physical presence is expected as part of a reliable and predictable pattern of attendance. Support the district's vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan. Engage in civility, respect, and professionalism. Maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions.
Responsibilities include verifying, coding, and classifying incoming materials and documents; making computations needed for reports, budgets, and records; operating various general office machines; gathering information from various sources; preparing reports or drafts correspondence; maintaining filing systems; planning, assigning, reviewing, and correcting the work of and training lower level employees; performing basic computer skills; opening, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and packages; preparing outgoing mail and packages; maintaining payroll and other related personnel functions; preparing bookkeeping and various cost center reports; performing basic secretarial functions; and performing any other duties as assigned.
