MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career-driven, and customer-focused Systems Engineer to join our team in Laurel, MD.

This position supports the high-visibility Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, responsible for the delivery and security of MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the foundation for enterprise-wide services. As a Systems Engineer, you will work alongside customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and vendors to support the implementation and compliance of advanced EIT capabilities through Data Center & Compute Services.

Daily troubleshooting of Linux, Windows, Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9 Operating Systems

Oversee cross-platform virtual machine lifecycles across Linux hypervisor environments (possibly Windows), optimizing resource allocation and compute capacity.

Maintain and manage various versions of OpenStack across multi-region deployments

Troubleshoot issues across Agency GOTS OpenStack platforms

May include developing end-to-end Python and Bash scripts to automate daily operational tasks, reduce manual toil, and streamline system provisioning workflows

Utilize Naemon and Grafana diagnostic tooling to execute systemic performance analysis and proactively address health degraded states.

Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline with 14 years of relevant experience as a Systems Engineer OR 19 years of Systems Engineering experience with no degree.

CCNA-Security/CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP)

Linux experience to include Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9

Hypervisor Virtual Machine, Ansible and Puppet experience

Python development language

Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations. The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
