This individual will serve a key function in feasibility assessments, design, permitting and client management efforts for a variety of renewable energy projects. As a member of our rapidly expanding Renewable Energy practice, you will be part of the driving force behind Langan's continuing growth.Job ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.Coordinates and provides client communication; Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion; Develop new clients for the firm and maintain relationships with existing clients; Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitors budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimizes write-offs by keeping projects on budget; Report and proposal writing. Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports; Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance; Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization; and Perform other duties as requested.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Masters PreferredValid Professional Engineer license6+ years of related renewable site/civil land development experienceKnowledge of city, county and state land use processes and regulationsStrong client development, client communication, client management abilities, and ability to develop new workDemonstrated ability to effectively manage renewable energy land development and infrastructure projects; including the ability to design site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completionSelf-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, mentor and lead othersAbility to work well on multi-disciplinary projectsExpertise in stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, and SWPPP preparationExperienced in technical and proposal writingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred)Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agenciesParticipation in professional organizationsStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilitiesAbility to effectively work independently and in a team environmentPossess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standingLangan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
