We offer competitive pay based on your skills and experience, opportunities for voluntary overtime, and a stable, growing business where your contributions are recognized.Whether you already have EDM experience or are an experienced CNC machinist eager to expand your skills, Burke Aerospace provides the opportunity to learn specialized aerospace manufacturing processes while building a long-term career with a company that values craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate EDM/CNC machines and other related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.Inspects work as required for all dimensional features as required.Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc.Perform duties always exercising good machining practices.Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.Taking a proactive approach to solving process or system related problems and coordinating with other team members/departments when necessary for resolution of problemsComply with OSHA, health, safety, and environment requirements.May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual's skills.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environmentExperience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment required. Experience with EDM, Makino Fast Hole, or aerospace manufacturing is preferred but not required.
