Advertised Compensation: $21.85 an hourPurpose: The Warehouse Associate at Chicago O'Hare International Airport Distribution Center is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, organizing, and distributing merchandise to retail locations. This role ensures accurate inventory control, compliance with safety standards, and timely replenishment to maintain operational efficiency in a fast-paced airport retail environment.Receive, count, and verify incoming merchandise; Process and complete all required documentation for merchandise returns to vendors.Assist with stock replenishment for sales floors and backrooms; Maintain accurate inventory records; assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventories.Notify management of out-of-stock items and assist in placing stock orders as needed.Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely to move inventory.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.Assist with trash removal, recycling, and general warehouse upkeep.Support effective communication and teamwork between warehouse staff and management.Qualifications:Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Previous warehouse experience preferred, including inventory handling and order processing. Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment required.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with warehouse management systems; SAP experience preferred. Ability to obtain OSHA forklift/MHE certification (or willingness to complete upon hire).Competencies:Attention to Detail – Ensures accuracy in inventory counts and documentation.Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.
