LCSW Hospital Position

Utiliza técnicas y teoría de trabajo social clínico, consulta, evalúa e interviene con pacientes de alto riesgo y sus familias en relación con el impacto/remediación de problemas emocionales y sociales. Las funciones también incluyen, entre otras, realizar evaluaciones psicosociales, hacer un diagnóstico psicosocial, planificar e implementar tratamientos efectivos, evaluación, educación, supervisión, entrenamiento y mentoría del paciente (cliente) y los miembros de la familia.
Proporciona evaluación para un paciente de la sala de emergencias dentro de las cuatro horas posteriores al alta. Mantiene la confidencialidad del paciente de acuerdo con la política del hospital. Practica la discreción profesional al determinar la inclusión de cualquier información del paciente en el registro médico o en las notas del registro clínico del departamento. Anota en el registro médico la exclusión de información crítica del paciente y su disponibilidad. Documenta cada encuentro del paciente en el registro médico o en el registro clínico del departamento de acuerdo con las políticas del departamento. Específicamente, documenta el trabajo de tratamiento continuo en los registros clínicos del departamento. Cada registro incluirá fecha, hora, título y firma. Proporciona supervisión clínica a otros miembros del personal del departamento, según se asignen.
Recursos y agencias de la unidad en relación con la salud, la enfermedad y la discapacidad, generalmente adquiridos a través de uno a dos años de entrenamiento en el trabajo. Conocimiento de los recursos y agencias comunitarias que atienden a los niños y las familias. Habilidades interpersonales avanzadas necesarias para interactuar eficazmente con varios profesionales de la salud, para desarrollar y mantener relaciones terapéuticas efectivas con pacientes y familias, y para supervisar a estudiantes de posgrado. Debe sentirse cómodo en un entorno de trabajo dinámico y de ritmo rápido (se valora el sentido del humor). Capacidad para trabajar en un equipo interdisciplinario. Sensibilidad cultural y comodidad con una amplia gama de poblaciones raciales y étnicas. Competencia bicultural/bilingüe es una ventaja. Alfabetización informática con capacidad para utilizar programas de procesamiento de texto estándar, hojas de cálculo y correo electrónico (por ejemplo, "MS Word, Excel, Outlook") y navegadores web.
