Are you an experienced ICU nurse passionate about serving veterans and working in a state-of-the-art medical environment? Join our team at the VA Medical Center in Houston and contribute to exceptional patient care while enjoying competitive compensation and flexible scheduling.
At least 1 year of recent critical care experience (within the past 5 years) in a specialty such as SICU, MICU, ICU, PACU
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (CCNE or ACEN).
Proof of unrestricted RN license from a U.ACLS certification required for SICU, IMCU, CCU, ICU
No visible tattoos, artificial nails, eyelashes, piercings, or gauges are permitted (per VA Quality Assurance guidelines).
A minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week required (with occasional opportunities for a fourth shift).
Four weekend shifts per month are required (could be two full weekends or any arrangement that totals four shifts). If you call out for a weekend shift, the VA will automatically assign you to work the following weekend.
56.36/hour plus $5.09/hour Health & Welfare (H&W) stipend if you aren't taking benefits, we can roll the H&W into your hourly rate (up to 40 hours)
