The Estimator is responsible for organizing and leading estimating and pre-construction activities for assigned projects. This role develops and maintains relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients while preparing accurate and comprehensive project estimates. The Estimator works closely with leadership and project teams to support successful project bidding, award, and execution.

Review and analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and project documentation

Develop project general conditions

Identify and solicit qualified vendors and subcontractors

Coordinate and attend pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs

Project Setup

Obtain, distribute, and manage project bid documents

Communicate with vendors and subcontractors throughout the bidding process

Project Bidding

Follow up with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure complete bid coverage

Review and evaluate subcontractor proposals

Assemble final proposal documents

Project Award & Handoff

Conduct contract reviews

Prepare project summaries

Lead Estimator-to-Project Manager handoff meetings

Support project managers throughout project execution

Assist with additional projects and assignments as needed

Experience with both competitive bid projects and conceptual budgeting

Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, industry regulations, and project management practices

Understanding of financial practices and accounting principles

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

Experience with estimating software

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Strong computer and technology proficiency
