Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
RTO and start date will need to be approved by the unit manager.
Unit size varies from 17 to 41 beds.
Common diagnoses and types of patients include Sitter, floating to any floor.
Duties and patient population will vary by floor.
Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, feeding, ambulation, turning/positioning, and hourly rounding.
A charge nurse is available each shift without an assignment.
Some units may have resource nurses without assignment.
A house supervisor is present 24/7.
Holiday requirements will fill in where there is a need.
Floating will primarily occur within the assigned hospital.
Candidates must be flexible and maintain a positive attitude.
This is a new venture, and the process may have challenges initially.
