Travel RN - Labor & Delivery 3x12 Days REQ:66824 (Full Time)
Location: West Des Moines, IA
Pay Rate: Up to $76/hr combined (taxable hourly + tax‑free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change.
Additional Bonuses, Group Health Insurance benefits available day 1, 401k and more.
Labor & Delivery RN
Shifts: 12hr
Job Summary
Provides comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vitals.
Administer pain management (e.g., epidurals) and assist during vaginal or C‑section deliveries.
Conduct postpartum monitoring and newborn assessments.
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care.
Identify and respond to complications.
Requirements
RN license in state of assignment. Compact License Allowed.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, AWHONN and STABLE certifications.
Experience in labor & delivery or maternal‑child nursing. Post Partum / mother‑baby care.
Hospital settings (Med‑Surg units, post‑op recovery, step‑down).
Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
