Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing SUE projects, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Manage SUE projects involving Quality Levels D, C, B, and A, including records research, field designation, survey/data collection, test-hole coordination, mapping/CAD, and final deliverables.

Develop project schedules, coordinate appropriate field crew makeup, and communicate daily priorities and changes to project teams.

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and maintain clear communication regarding scope, schedule, access, constraints, deliverables, and project status.

Coordinate with Colorado 811, utility owners, municipalities, agencies, and other jurisdictions for records, access, permits, and project requirements.

Track project scope, budget, labor, subcontractors, and schedule; identify potential changes or risks early and communicate them before they affect delivery.

Review field documentation, utility data, sketches, photos, mapping, and CAD deliverables for completeness and consistency before engineering review or client delivery.

Coordinate Quality Level A test-hole activities, including permitting, traffic control, hydrovac resources, restoration, and documentation.

Support QA/QC and compliance with company safety procedures and SUE operations.

Work closely with CAD/mapping staff and the responsible professional engineer when engineering review, quality-level assignment, or stamped deliverables are required.

Participate in project kickoff, progress, closeout, and post-project review meetings.

5+ years of experience in SUE, utility locating/designating, utility construction, survey, civil infrastructure, or a closely related field, with demonstrated project coordination or leadership experience.

• Working knowledge of SUE Quality Levels D, C, B, and A and the project workflow associated with collecting and delivering utility information.
• Experience coordinating field crews, clients, utility owners, and jurisdictions.
• Ability to read civil plans, utility plans, construction drawings, and project scope documents.
• Proficiency with common project documentation and Microsoft Office tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Colorado.
• No civil engineering degree is required for this position.
