Dietician - Nutrition Clinic

Supervisory Dietitian (Clinical Nutrition)
The Supervisory Dietitian (Clinical Nutrition) is responsible for providing administrative and technical leadership for the Clinical Nutrition Section and may travel to other locations within the Phoenix VA Health Care System/32nd Street Clinic. Major duties include, but are not limited to:

Coordinates the work assignments based on priorities, capabilities of the employee. Leads the monthly outpatient nutrition staff meeting and co-leads clinical department meetings.
Assists with the direction of a personnel management program for the service by delegating responsibility to subordinates and holding them responsible for the performance of their sections.
Guides subordinates on problems solving, decision making, delegation, change management, performance improvement management and labor-management relations.
Coordinates the nutrition care program to accommodate changes associated with administration, science, education, and research.
Assures nutrition activities are coordinated with other initiatives at a local, VISN and national level to provide for a quality outpatient nutrition program.
Conducts and/or participates in nutrition research studies and communicates findings through reports, abstracts, presentations, and publications.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 07:00am-3:30pm but work schedule may be adjusted to meet the needs of the service.
