Physiotherapist (Temporary)

Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated professional to organize and implement physical therapy programs aimed at facilitating rehabilitation. This role involves guiding clients through selected activities to restore, enhance, and reinforce their performance. Additionally, the position entails directing activities that support health maintenance.
Your aim will be to transform every encounter with patients and their families into a positive and meaningful experience, while delivering safe and high-quality care. Develop a comprehensive care plan addressing identified impairments, setting clear and measurable short- and long-term treatment objectives.
Utilize evidence-based treatment techniques, continuously monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatments as necessary.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care, education provided to patients and families, and details regarding service units.
Assess clients, establish suitable treatment goals and methods, implement the physical therapy plan, and manage all related documentation.
Design and fit adaptive devices, training clients in their use, including orthotics and prosthetics.
Select appropriate physical agent modalities based on individual needs, physical capabilities, mobility activities, and diagnoses.
Collaborate with other rehabilitation team members to determine the most effective therapeutic regimen tailored to each client’s needs.
Instruct clients in the skills necessary for mobility activities, while evaluating their progress, attitudes, and behaviors related to rehabilitation potential.
Conduct training sessions and assist in educating medical, nursing, and other staff on physical therapy techniques and objectives.
Adapt work schedules flexibly according to staffing requirements in therapy programs.
Comply with established organizational policies, procedures, and objectives.
Demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
Employ creative problem-solving to address the needs of others.
Facilitate teaching and learning that caters to individual needs and learning styles.
Create a healing environment that addresses both physical and spiritual needs.
Enhance professional skills through the Therapy Career Excellence Development Program.
Utilize Safe Patient Handling equipment as trained and in accordance with organizational policies.
Identify malfunctioning equipment, remove it from use, and report it as per policy.
Adhere to all infection control policies.
Current Physical Therapy Licensure in Massachusetts.

May require lifting supplies and equipment.
Work Environment This position is primarily on-site.
