Leveraging your knowledge of basic patient care principles and medical terminology, you will perform a range of daily duties. Every day you will actively assist patients with personal care, mobility, and feeding, monitoring vital signs, documenting observations, and maintaining a therapeutic and organized patient environment. You will also work closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport. To be successful in this role requires a genuine passion for patient well-being, diligence in executing tasks, keen observational skills regarding patient conditions, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development. Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols. Assists with patient admission, discharge, and transfer and/or transport patients throughout the hospital as needed. Orients patient to room/routine, monitors and records patient vital signs, weight, positioning, ADL's, I&O's, activity, and blood glucose readings per RN instructions, hospital protocols, and standards of care. Obtains specimens as directed and according to hospital protocol.
