Tech Writer - REMOTE

Hourly Rate : $90
Preference in NY/NJ (will require some days in the office in the future)- Remote first / Second choice is LA (Must be LA)

Our client is looking for a Narrative Writer with strong social concepting instincts and a natural feel for culture to help shape voice and storytelling across their social presence. The ideal person has a background that spans editorial, brand, and narrative work, ideally with byproduct experience writing for major publications alongside brand-side narrative or creative strategy work. They know how to identify a cultural moment, translate it into a strong point of view, and write copy and scripts that feel native to whatever platform they're built for. Experience amplifying untold stories or bringing a distinct point of view to brand storytelling is a plus.
Concept and write across short and long-form social content, from quick-turn copy to fuller scripts and narrative pieces
Translate cultural moments and trends into original, on-brand ideas
Partner with creative and strategy teams to shape voice, tone, and storytelling direction across platforms
Write and edit scripts for video and social-first content
Move easily between platforms, adjusting tone and format as needed
Work efficiently under fast turn timelines without losing quality or voice
5+ years of experience across editorial, brand, or narrative writing, ideally with bylines at recognized publications or experience writing for major brands

• Deep culture and content fluency, with a clear sense of what resonates and why
• Strong short and long form writing and scripting skills
• Experience working across social platforms, with an understanding of how tone and format shift by channel
• Comfort with Figma and Google Slides for deck and concept presentations
