A state-of-the-art veterinary emergency hospital is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian to join its experienced team in Redlands, California .

Offering $170,000-$220,000+ per year , with compensation structured as either base salary or base plus production depending on experience and schedule, this position provides the opportunity to practise advanced emergency medicine with exceptional clinical resources and strong technical support.

The role is designed for veterinarians who enjoy fast-paced emergency medicine, complex case management, collaborative problem-solving, and clinical autonomy .

Experienced emergency clinicians are encouraged to apply, as are veterinarians who are newer to emergency medicine and motivated to develop their ER capabilities within a supportive environment .

About the Practice
This is a 24/7 veterinarian-owned and operated emergency hospital designed specifically to support advanced emergency and critical care medicine.

The modern facility extends across more than 26,000 square feet and has been thoughtfully designed to support efficient clinical workflows, high-acuity case management, and veterinarian wellbeing.

Advanced diagnostic and clinical capabilities include spiral CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital radiography, video endoscopy, two fully equipped surgical suites, and a dedicated endoscopy suite .

The large ICU and emergency department features oxygen cages, a Pulmonetic ventilator, separate canine and feline wards, modern patient monitoring systems, and advanced cautery equipment .

The hospital also includes a Fear Free Certified feline ward and species-specific quiet areas , helping reduce patient stress while supporting appropriate care for hospitalised animals.

Highly trained and licensed veterinary technicians are available across shifts, providing the clinical support required to manage emergency and critical patients effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency and urgent veterinary care within a 24/7 hospital environment.

Triage and stabilise patients presenting with acute illness, injury, and life‑threatening conditions.

Diagnose and manage complex emergency and critical care cases.

Develop comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plans.

Utilise advanced imaging, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital radiography, and endoscopy , where clinically appropriate.

Perform emergency surgical procedures within their clinical capabilities.

Manage hospitalised and intensive care patients.

Utilise oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, advanced monitoring, and other critical care resources where required.

Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners during stressful and complex situations.

Collaborate closely with emergency veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and other clinical professionals.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient medical records.

Participate in overnight shifts as part of the hospital's 24/7 emergency service.

Continue developing emergency and critical care capabilities through mentorship and professional development.

Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and team‑oriented clinical culture.

Candidate Profile
Applicants should hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent and possess, or be eligible to obtain, a California veterinary licence .
