Contract Details
Shift: Days (4x10's - 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Rotating weekend coverage required (Saturday & Sunday from 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
Facility & Unit Overview
The Facility: Located on the 1st floor of the medical center. This is the only Transplant & Cellular Therapy (TCT) clinic in Central Texas and is a proud member of the renowned Sarah Cannon Cancer Network.
Unit Layout: Features 15 outpatient clinic and infusion rooms/curtains.
Day shifts typically run with a Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 1 PCT, 1 Scheduler, 1 Social Worker, and 4 Apheresis specialists.
A strong emphasis on teamwork and close professional relationships due to the specialized, small-unit setting.
BMTCN (Blood & Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse) or OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification. Prior outpatient clinic experience is highly preferred.
Equipment: Must be highly proficient with standard infusion pumps.
Typical Clinic Procedures
Chemotherapy administration, IVIG, and specialized oncology infusions.
Blood product transfusions including PRBCs, Platelets, and Plasma.
