Key Responsibilities of the RN - PCU

Provide care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgical patients in a step-down progressive care setting
Perform clinical assessments and implement med-surg nursing skills
Manage trach care, chest tubes, and various IV procedures
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Conduct discharge planning and patient education, focusing on renal and fluid management

Requirements of the RN - PCU

BLS, ACLS, BCR certifications required
NIHSS certification required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
National certification in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
