This position requires travel in the continental United States for various projects. **Identifies relevant subsystems to include hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, HVAC, power generation and other mechanical subsystems as required. - Assesses requirements and system architecture to develop mechanical design solutions to support existing hardware limitations. - Creates system specifications and ensures mechanical interface compatibility. - Coordinates design of mechanical system and subsystems for integration into a system of systems platform. - Coordinates and consolidates design efforts to include requirements definitions through testing verification. - Conducts independent technical investigations including failure analysis and determination of root cause. - Experienced in Finite Element Analysis. - Experienced in technical writing to include engineering analysis, trade studies, feasibility assessments and analysis of alternatives. - Requires experience with interfacing with customers to include requirements clarification, providing technical status and delivering design presentations as required. - Experienced in developmental and qualification testing to include providing input to test plans and procedures, conducting testing evolutions and correcting deficiencies. - Perform site surveys and engineering assessments. - Develop drawings, User Guides, test plans, test procedures, rack elevations, equipment maintenance manuals and other documentation. - Quality inspection team member. - Qualifications:** *Required:** BS/MS in mechanical engineering, with 0-2years of demonstrated experience in support of DoD or other federal agency in a mechanical engineering capacity.* Must be proficient in Autodesk Inventor and MS Office suite*Desired:** MS in mechanical engineering with 1+ years design experience with mobile/transportable systems for the DOD.* Professional Engineering License* Active TS/SCI* ACAD 3D-**What You Can Expect:****A culture of integrity.**As a valued team member, you’ll be part of a high-performing group dedicated to our customer’s missions and driven by a higher purpose - to ensure the safety of our nation.**CACI values the unique contributions that every employee brings to our company and our customers - every day.
