TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61637!

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical
Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite
Provide direct patient care on a 56-bed Adult Medical Specialty unit managing acute care general medicine diagnoses including cellulitis, sepsis, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, syncope, anemia, uncontrolled diabetes, acute respiratory failure, liver failure, kidney failure, and behavioral health and addiction cases
Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 during night shift hours
Collaborate with Patient Care Technicians who assist with vital signs, accuchecks, bladder scans, and ADLs
Float as needed to other acute care general medicine areas including nephrology, neuro, ortho, and oncology
Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
must comply with a Drug-Free Campus policy
Availability to work every other weekend (Friday/Saturday for nights) and rotating holidays
Prior travel nursing experience on a Medical Surgical floor
Experience with EPIC electronic health records
Experience in a Level I Trauma Center (may be considered in lieu of travel experience when combined with EPIC proficiency)
Work on a well-supported unit featuring a free charge RN on every shift, PCT support, self-scheduling and block scheduling options, and house-wide remote telemetry monitoring
Benefit from a defined call-off policy providing the equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty
