In anticipation of continuing the necessary staffing for our growing enrollment and our preschool expansion, The Medford Township Public Schools seeks a compassionate and qualified School Nurse to join our dedicated team in providing health services to our students. The School Nurse will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of our school community. This position involves working collaboratively with students, parents/guardians, teachers, and administrators to ensure a safe and supportive environment conducive to teaching and learning.

This position is tenure track and accrues seniority. The salaries listed below represent the 2026-2027 negotiated salaries for BA Step 1 (minimum) and MA+60 Step 16 (maximum). Actual salary is commensurate to experience and education. As per the negotiated agreement between the Medford Education Association and the Board of Education, benefits are offered for single coverage in Years 1 and 2. Year 3 is two-party, and Year 4+ offers full family benefits.

Other Requirements:

The successful candidate must hold a valid New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE), whether it be CE, CEAS or Standard.

School Nurse/Non-Instructional (NJDOE #3010) \n

Under certain circumstances, in the event that a candidate with proper certification is not available, we will seek emegency certification to a candidate who holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, a current New Jersey registered professional nurse license, and current CPR/AED certification. The candidate shall present evidence of study in public health nursing. The study must appear on the transcript of an accredited four-year college or university. The candidate must also agree to enroll in a School Nurse certification program and complete said program within 2-years.
