Rhino Medical is leading the charge in seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) for locum tenens coverage in Lake City, Florida .
Join an established emergency department with 40 treatment bays, dedicated clinical support, and a collaborative emergency medicine team. This opportunity offers consistent evening and PM shift coverage, a structured orientation process, and the opportunity to provide meaningful emergency care in a well-supported hospital environment.
Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Schedule: PM Shift Coverage

Shift Length: 10–12 Hours

Emergency Privileges: Emergency Department Overview

• 40 Emergency Department Bays
• Approximately 1.8 Patients Per Hour
• 10–11 Emergency Medicine Providers Across a 24-Hour Period
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Dedicated Nursing and Emergency Department Support Staff
• Nurse/NP/PA Triage Support for Lower-Acuity Patients
• Non-Trauma-Designated Facility

Perform focused histories, physical examinations, and emergency assessments.

Order and interpret diagnostic testing, laboratory studies, and imaging as appropriate.

Develop and implement treatment plans for emergency department patients.

Provide care for a range of medical complaints, injuries, and emergency presentations.

Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, fellow NPs and PAs, and nursing teams.

Identify patients requiring escalation of care, specialty consultation, or hospital admission.

Coordinate safe discharge planning, patient education, and follow-up recommendations.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Expanse electronic medical record.

One to two years of Emergency Medicine experience requested.

Recent clinical experience evaluating and managing emergency department patients.

Ability to work 10–12-hour clinical shifts.

Comfort practicing in a collaborative emergency department environment.

PM shift opportunities with 10–12-hour clinical schedules.
