Department: 1 East - Behavioral Health

Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor

1 East is a locked 36 bed, secured unit and services patients 18 through older adult. Patients are admitted Through Psychiatric Access department in the Emergency Department at THAA. Shifts Available: Evening Shift 3p-1130p; Night Shit 11p-730a; Day Shift 7a-3:30p

Full-time, 8 Hour Shifts; Every Other weekend and Holiday rotation

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

Graduation from accredited nursing program.

All new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.

Current Michigan Nursing License

Experience in Behavioral Health highly preferred.

Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care.

Develop, implement, evaluate and revise an individualized plan of care using evidenced based interventions and standards of care. Identify needs and begins to plan for care across the continuum considering patient and family preferences.

Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution.
