Material Handler I - Weekend Shift - Plant

Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, you will be responsible for the receiving, shipment and movement of materials within the plant. Your duties will encompass all things related to material movement and inventory tracking within the plant. You will regularly operate forklifts and pallet jacks in the execution of your duties. Collaborate with operations supervisor to finalize operating consumables storage locations

Organize, inventory and put-away all operating consumables

Label inventory racks and storage areas as agreed for easy identification

Complete preproduction training

Receiving materials and putting them away in the appropriate storage location

Loading trucks for outbound shipments

Use forklift and pallet jack to move palletized material within the plant including:

Transferring material to and from the production lines for feeding or storing of end products

Weighing of materials and entering information into inventory management system

Receiving of goods in the inventory management system

Conducting cycle counts and ensuring inventory accuracy

Maintaining accurate inventory records

Understand general functioning of a warehouse and logistics

Skilled operator of material handling equipment including:

forklift, pallet jack, pump cart etc.

Proficient in Excel and basic understanding of inventory management.

This position may require working in outdoor or indoor environments, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.

The job may involve shift work, weekend shifts, or on-call availability depending on operational needs.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
