Maintenance Electrician (Journeyman) | Full Time

Electrician (Commercial & Industrial)
We are seeking skilled Electricians to support a variety of construction and service projects across the Hampton Roads area . This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse job sites performing installations, repairs, and maintenance on power and control systems.
Depending on your experience level, you will be assigned to projects where you can work independently and take ownership of your work.
Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in commercial and industrial environments
Install and service electrical systems and equipment, including:
Switchgear and transformers
Heat tracing systems and cable trays
Determine conduit sizing, pull wire, make terminations, and install junction boxes per code and project specifications
Run and bend rigid conduit, EMT, and PVC for various applications
Support new construction, retrofits, equipment replacements, and service work
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
Perform power and control wiring at a journeyman or master level
Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions
Follow NEC, local electrical codes, and OSHA safety standards
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Strong experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work
Install and troubleshoot electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred, not required)
Trade school or vocational training in electrical systems
MCCs, switchgear, and transformers
Industrial environments or construction sites
Cold storage or specialized facilities

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, VA.
