As we prepare to open our newest location, we're looking for dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Prep Cooks who take pride in quality, consistency, and teamwork. Prep Cooks are an essential part of our kitchen operations and play a major role in setting the kitchen team up for success each day. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, staying organized, and being part of a team committed to great food and hospitality, we'd love to meet you!What You'll Do: As a Prep Cook at Mia's Table, you'll help ensure our kitchen is fully prepared to deliver fresh, high-quality food to every guest. Preparing ingredients including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, mixing recipes, and preparing sauces and dressingsFollowing Mia's Table recipes, prep procedures, and portion standardsAssisting with cooking and preparing food items as neededSetting up and stocking kitchen stations for serviceProperly labeling, dating, rotating, and storing food productsMaintaining organization and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and prep areasOperating kitchen equipment safely and efficientlyMonitoring inventory levels and communicating product needs to Kitchen Leads and ManagersAssisting with receiving and stocking deliveriesFollowing all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelinesWorking closely with cooks, dishwashers, and kitchen leadership to ensure smooth operationsMaintaining a sense of urgency while staying organized and detail-orientedWhat We're Looking For:Must be at least 18 years oldPrevious prep cook or kitchen experience preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to food qualityAbility to follow recipes and prep procedures accuratelyDependable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitudeAbility to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when neededStrong communication and organizational skillsFlexible availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidaysKnowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety proceduresFood Handler Certification requiredWhy Join Mia's Table?Be part of an exciting new restaurant opening in Sugar LandOpportunity to join the team from day one and grow with usFun, fast-paced, team-oriented environmentFlexible schedulingCompetitive payGrowth opportunities within a growing companyIf you're ready to help us bring Southern comfort and hospitality to Sugar Land, apply today and grow with us from the very beginning.
