Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
5x8.0 - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will operate under the guidance of a Physical Therapist to implement treatment goals and support various therapeutic interventions. The role emphasizes the importance of patient and employee safety while adhering to the organization's core values.
Responsibilities
Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment goals and programs.
Carry out therapeutic interventions, including posture training, strengthening exercises, and pain relief activities.
Train patients in locomotion using orthotics and assistive devices.
Monitor patients' responses to treatment and intervene as necessary.
Document patient progress and response to treatment.
Maintain a clean treatment area and adhere to safety and infection control guidelines.
Participate in team conferences and special projects to enhance patient care quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
CAPTE Certified and active license for the state where work will be performed.
Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
Current CPR certification.
Outpatient orthopedic experience is highly desired.
