School of Nursing
Responsibilities include classroom teaching, facilitation of simulation experiences, student evaluation, and participation in course coordination activities as assigned. The instructor collaborates with program faculty to support student learning, clinical reasoning development, and preparation for safe anesthesia practice.
Ability to teach anesthesia principles, pharmacology, physiology, and clinical decision-making at the graduate level.
Skill in simulation-based education, including scenario facilitation and structured debriefing.
Ability to evaluate student performance and provide constructive, timely feedback.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for mentoring, coaching, and professional socialization of nurse anesthesia students.
Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and high-quality clinical education.
Ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional academic and clinical environment.
Clinical experience in nurse anesthesia practice sufficient to support graduate-level instruction.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree.
Prior teaching experience in a nurse anesthesia or graduate nursing program.
Experience with simulation education and competency-based evaluation.
Demonstrated engagement in professional service, scholarship, or quality improvement initiatives.
