Multiple Shifts:
Full-Time Days, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
PRN, 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm and/or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Our Behavioral Health services at UAB St. Vincent's East include 80 beds for adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic mental health needs. Our dedicated team-based care model provides individualized, compassionate care. We provide a safe and structured environment focused on stabilization, recovery, and long-term wellness. What You Will Do Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the facility.
Perform initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice. Develop a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
Implement nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co-leads group therapy sessions for patients.
Evaluate patient's response to interventions and revise nursing plan of care as needed. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND Required professional licensure at time of hire.
