Structural Engineer-in-Training
We are seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with a Master of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering to join a growing structural engineering team.
The selected candidate will work under the guidance of experienced Professional Engineers and will have the opportunity to develop expertise in the design and detailing of building structures. As technical skills and experience develop, the engineer will take on increasing levels of independent responsibility.
Key Responsibilities

Design and detail building structures as part of a collaborative engineering team.
Develop conceptual structural framing and assist with structural system selection.
Perform structural analysis, engineering calculations, and design.
Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
Perform structural drafting and develop written technical documentation.
Review structural shop drawings and submittals.
Conduct site visits and review contractor work during construction.
Apply applicable structural engineering codes and standards.
Collaborate with Professional Engineers, project teams, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Develop the ability to independently manage assigned design and documentation tasks.
Required Qualifications

Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
Strong interest in structural engineering and building design.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills

Experience or academic knowledge in the design of:
Steel structures
Reinforced concrete
Masonry
Timber/wood structures

Familiarity with structural design codes and standards.
Experience producing construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with RAM or RISA structural analysis software.
Familiarity with Revit.
Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in structural engineering is a plus.
