Qualifications

~1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:

• Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)
• Long Term Acute Care (LTAC/LTACH)
• Medical/Surgical (MedSurg)

Required skills and experience:-

Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas - 1+ year of Med/Surg or LTAC experience- Current AHA BLS required- LVN's must be IV Therapy Certified

Full Time 4:3 rotating

Ability to do a lot of different jobs - Clinic, in-patient, med pass, out-patient, wound care, cell side care, ER, critical careAdditional job details:- Provides nursing services, treatments and diagnostic and preventive procedures appropriate for inmate care and safety- Interprets physicians' orders- Administers prescribed medication- When physician is present, assists physician with sick call- Applies surgical dressings and bandages- Provides emergency first aid care- Checks and records vital signs- Instructs
