Full Time Sawyer

WHAT YOU'LL DO As our Sawyer you will be responsible for accurately cutting hardwood lumber used in the manufacturing of mouldings and boards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring each piece is cut to specification, maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Interpret work orders, cut sheets, and measurements

Select appropriate lumber and ensure quality standards are met before and after cutting

Label and organize cut materials for staging in assembly areas

Perform routine checks on saw equipment and maintain blades for clean and precise cuts

Assist with inventory management and communicate material needs to supervisors

High school diploma or equivalent, required

• Previous saw operation or lumber experience in a wood shop
• Ability to read a tape measurer and production drawings accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with saw maintenance
• Forklift experience, preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and equipment including but not limited to table saws and panel saws.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm with schedule flexibility.
