Overview This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the team as a Night Bellman and Valet at the #1 Hotel in Los Angeles, as voted by Travel and Leisure: OCEANA in Santa Monica, CA. This oceanfront, all-suite hotel reopened in July 2019 after undergoing a $35 million transformation, and we are now seeking motivated, enthusiastic professionals to become integral members of our team.
Responsibilities As the Night Bellman and Valet, you assist guests with the required tasks, primarily parking and retrieving their vehicles and assisting with luggage and transportation overnight. Your focus is on ensuring guests feel welcome, acknowledging them when they arrive or depart, helping with luggage and placing it in rooms, preparing rooms for immediate occupancy by turning on lights, opening drapes, and discussing room features and hotel safety information, including explaining internet access and room service policies. You offer professional valet services as a responsible driver, park vehicles in the hotel’s predetermined parking facilities, obey all traffic laws, and direct hotel traffic when needed. You also assist guests with calling taxis, holding pet leashes, or storing luggage for early check‑in or late check‑out.

Has broad knowledge of local restaurants, nightlife, museums, current events, and attractions, and can provide accurate and precise directions.
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality to ensure all essential duties are fulfilled.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; writes and speaks clearly.
Treats everyone with respect and dignity, accepts responsibility and takes ownership of tasks, follows through on commitments, takes initiative, and maintains confidentiality.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; strong time management with a proven ability to meet goals and deadlines.
Functions well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Has a valid driver’s license, personal auto insurance, and a spotless driving record.
Has a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience in hospitality.
Experience driving vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission.

Auto‑enrollment in the 401(k) plan after 60 days of employment. 40 hours of vacation in the first year and 80 hours of paid sick leave per year. Eligible employees receive holiday pay or paid holidays for six yearly holidays; to qualify, employees must work the last scheduled day before and the first day after the holiday.
Physical Requirements Expected work hours: Full‑time hospitality overnight schedule including weekends and holidays. Travel: None. Must lift or move items up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Able to use hands to handle tools and equipment; adequate vision for safe operation. Must stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed. FLSA status: Non‑exempt.
