Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) position - Operations team, Paola, KS.

Elizabeth Layton Center (ELC) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) with locations in Ottawa and Paola, KS. CCBHCs provide accessible, integrated behavioral health services. The Certified Medication Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to medication prescribers, handling initial client interactions, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and accurate documentation in the electronic health record. The CMA is often the first point of contact for clients and maintains a welcoming, organized, and confidential environment. Reports to the Director of Operations.

Update medication lists and allergies at each visit and enter information in the electronic health record (EHR).

Complete and enter the WellRx form in the electronic health record (EHR).

Answer route phone calls, messages, and client inquiries promptly and professionally.

Communicate with clinical and case management teams regarding medication appointments, cancellations, or client updates when necessary.

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), including uploading forms, entering data, and ensuring record completeness.

Support medication prior authorizations, refill requests, and pharmacy communications under provider direction.

Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards (HIPAA) and agency policies.

Assist with general office tasks such as scanning, faxing, and copying documents.

Comply with all ELC policies and procedures.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification.

Experience in a medical, behavioral health, or community services setting.

Familiarity with medication processes, EHR systems, or healthcare documentation.

Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
