Production Machinist -- Full-Time

Title: Manual Lathe Machinist
Job Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire

Our client is seeking an experienced Manual Lathe Machinist to join their manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating manual lathes to produce precision components according to blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and measuring equipment.
Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting tools for various machining applications.
Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, drilling, and other machining operations.
Accurately measure finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
Inspect work throughout the machining process to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications Previous experience operating manual lathes in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
CNC machining experience is a plus but not required.
Experience machining a variety of metals and materials.
