Dental Hygienist
The Dental Hygienist is a member of the Dental team that includes the Dental Site Administrator, Dentist, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants and Front Office. They support the mission and values of Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) by providing quality care in a team environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs patient screening procedures
Educates patients and caregivers
Performs age-appropriate prophylactic treatments
Performs periodontal treatments
Exposes and interprets dental x-rays
Documents dental and periodontal charting
Maintains supplies, equipment and inventory
Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned
Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills
Requirements:
Required Skills and Abilities:
Bilingual: Spanish/English strongly preferred
Commitment to work collaboratively within the organization
Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills
Education and Experience:

• Indiana Dental Hygienist Licensure
• 2,000 documented hours working under the supervision of a dentist
• One to three years of previous experience as a dental hygienist preferred

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Ability to perform prolonged or extensive standing and walking
Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
Ability to perform prolonged periods of time in front of a computer
