Shift: 07:00 AM 07:00 PM (12 hours)

Hours/Week: 36-40

Employment: Full-Time Travel Position

Licenses/Certifications: RN License (state or compact), BLS, ACLS

Experience: 1+ year in related nursing specialty preferred

What You'll Do

Provide specialized cardiac care for patients with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and medical-surgical overflow

Monitor and manage cardiac drips and med-surg treatments, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes

Administer medications, monitor for side effects, and document patient responses accurately

Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process in accordance with standards

Educate patients and families about treatments, prognosis, and health maintenance

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning

What You Need

Required:

RN license in applicable state or compact license

BLS certification from AHA

ACLS certification from AHA

Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience

Preferred:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

Experience in telemetry or cardiac nursing

About the Assignment This position involves working in a hospital setting dedicated to cardiac and medical-surgical overflow patients. The unit manages various cardiac conditions, including MI, CHF, and arrhythmias, utilizing cardiac drips and advanced monitoring. The team values independent practice, critical thinking, and compassionate patient care, with a nurse-to-patient ratio generally between 5:1 and 6:1.
