We are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer at our Decatur, AL location. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supports standard design, development, testing and modifications of solutions. Conducts testing of new designs. Build prototype bearings for testing. Includes installation and use of multiple sensors and associated data acquisition equipment. Prepare detail 3D engineering models and 2D CAD drawings. Creates bills of materials. Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related degree 2 to 5 years of related experience Detailed knowledge of engineering principles, calculation methods, metals related equipment design, equipment selection and function. Knowledge of computer systems associated with discipline including 3D Solid Edge and 2DAutoCad. Experience with data acquisition systems a plus. Knowledge of Metals related equipment, design and equipment selection and function. Duties are performed both in‑house and on location at customer sites.
