Elementary Music Teacher
Monroe Public Schools is seeking a passionate and creative Elementary Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students through music education, fostering creativity, musical expression, and a love of the performing arts in a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
This position may serve students in a variety of instructional settings. Final building and assignment placement will be determined in August based on district needs and enrollment. Placement may include assignment to a parochial school partner location served by Monroe Public Schools.
Per Teacher Master Agreement
Choice of 20 or 24 pay periods with direct deposit.
Tuition/course reimbursement (up to $400 per approved course).

Monroe Public Schools is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and Teacher Loan Forgiveness Programs . Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with the appropriate and required endorsements for Music Education.
Ability to design and implement engaging, standards-based music lessons for elementary students.
Passion for fostering a love of music and creativity in young learners.
Ability to integrate music into cross-curricular learning opportunities.
Develop and deliver a comprehensive music curriculum aligned with state standards.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, musical exploration, and performance.
Teach students fundamental musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and music theory.
Prepare and organize student performances, concerts, and other musical showcases.
Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide activities.
Maintain flexibility to support assigned instructional locations and district programming needs.
