FULL TIME Associate Attorney

Company Description Westchester Matrimonial LLC is a family and matrimonial law firm experienced in matters such as divorce negotiation and litigation, child custody and support, visitation, guardianship, and Orders of Protection. The firm also handles adoptions, appeals, grandparent rights, Jewish Orthodox divorces, pre- and postnuptial agreements, and post-judgment issues. Additional areas of focus include mediation and collaborative law, neglect and abuse proceedings, paternity, and valuation and equitable distribution of businesses and financial assets. Role Description The Associate Attorney will handle a variety of matrimonial and family law matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, agreements, and correspondence, as well as conducting legal research and preparing memoranda. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing client files, participating in client meetings, providing legal advice under supervision, and representing clients in court appearances, conferences, and negotiations as appropriate. The role involves collaborating with senior attorneys on case strategy, settlement negotiations, discovery, and trial preparation, while maintaining clear and professional communication with clients and opposing counsel. This is a full-time, on-site position based in White Plains, NY.

Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with specific interest or experience in Matrimonial and Family Law.

Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice and guidance to clients under supervision.

Proficient Research skills, including case law analysis, statutory interpretation, and drafting legal memoranda.

Effective Negotiation capabilities for settlement discussions, mediation, and collaborative law settings.

Prior experience in matrimonial or family law, litigation, or related practice areas is preferred.
