Psychiatry Locum (Physician #)

Psychiatry Geriatric physician job in Connecticut : An inpatient behavioral health facility in Bristol, Connecticut is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide coverage for a 15-bed senior behavioral health unit. This locum opportunity offers the chance to deliver comprehensive inpatient care for geriatric psychiatry patients in a collaborative hospital setting.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Setting: Inpatient Senior Behavioral Health Unit
Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for inpatient geriatric behavioral health patients.
Conduct daily rounds and manage medications.
Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including nursing, social work, therapy, and case management.
Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist.
Experience treating geriatric psychiatric patients.
Current DEA registration.
Desired Skills:
Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry.
Active Connecticut medical license.
Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
