Head of Internal Audit, Finance

The Finance Director is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and oversight for Fairmont Operations, ensuring functional alignment with the global Finance team. This position directs all plant finance, accounting, financial planning, reporting, cost management, treasury coordination, internal controls, and compliance activities. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Finance Director partners with operational and corporate leaders to drive business performance, support growth initiatives, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure sound financial stewardship.

The Finance Director serves as the primary financial advisor to leadership, providing data-driven insights, strategic recommendations, and financial guidance to support short- and long-term business objectives.

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Lead the Finance and Accounting function for Fairmont Operations.
• Ensure alignment with the global financial strategy and Kibar group standard through close collaboration with Assan Alüminyum’s CFO.
• Develop and execute financial strategies that support organizational goals and operational objectives.
• Drive a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement through sound financial management.
• Assess business risks and opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to support decision-making.

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Translate business objectives into long-range financial plans.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
• Identify risks, trends, and opportunities impacting financial results and operational performance.
• Present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to executive leadership.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, providing actionable insights to leadership.
• Review key operational and financial metrics, including productivity, labor, inventory, manufacturing costs, and profitability.
• Ensure accurate reporting of plant financial performance in accordance with corporate requirements and accounting standards.
• Support executive-level reporting and presentations.

Manufacturing Finance & Cost Management

• Direct all cost accounting and inventory accounting functions.
• Oversee analysis of manufacturing costs, labor utilization, overhead absorption, inventory valuation, and operational efficiencies.
• Monitor capital expenditures and evaluate investment opportunities through financial analysis and return-on-investment assessments.

Internal Controls, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and financial controls.
• Oversee internal and external audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and control documentation.
• Monitor financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Provide strategic oversight of treasury, cash flow performance and working capital management as needed to achieve business objectives.
• Direct cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and funding to support strategic initiatives.
• Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities to improve cash flow and strengthen financial performance.

Lead, develop, and mentor finance and accounting personnel.

• Establish performance objectives and ensure accountability for department goals.
• Promote collaboration across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Engineering, Information Technology, and Corporate teams.

The Finance Director oversees all finance and accounting personnel.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.

• MBA and/or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with significant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing finance and accounting teams.
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations and partnering with executive leadership on strategic business decisions.

GAAP, financial reporting requirements, accounting principles, and internal controls.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory management, operational metrics, and capital project analysis.
• Proven ability to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management processes.
• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to connect financial results to operational performance.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
• Experience with ERP systems, financial planning tools, and manufacturing reporting platforms.

• Work is performed in both office and manufacturing plant environments.
• Frequent interaction with plant employees, leadership, and corporate IT teams.
• Exposure to industrial conditions including noise, heat, and production equipment when on the plant floor.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in operational areas.
• May require occasional after‐hours support, on‐call availability, or extended hours for system issues or project implementations.
