Medical Coder (Surgery) - Fully Remote!

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Medical Coder for a growing healthcare services organization. This is a fully remote direct hire opportunity for candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones .

Scion Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to join a growing healthcare organization specializing in orthopedic revenue cycle services. Fully remote position for candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones.

Competitive hourly compensation starting at $20.00/hour , with up to $22.00/hour based on relevant surgery coding experience.

Monday through Friday schedule with no evenings, weekends, or travel required.

Review and assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services in accordance with coding guidelines.

Ensure coding accuracy while maintaining compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to resolve coding-related questions and claim issues.

Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting established deadlines.

Stay current on coding updates, payer guidelines, and industry best practices.

Experience in medical coding within a healthcare environment.

Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.

Orthopedic and/or surgery coding experience is preferred.

Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
