Promotes customer service by taking and filling customer order requests and maintaining attractive product presentation.**Prepares hot and cold deli food such as breakfast foods, hot foods, steam table foods, rotisserie chicken, and fried chicken.* Fills catering orders and ensures portion control.* Ensures food handling and food safety procedures are adhered to. Stocks, rotates, and monitors product temperatures before and after cooking.* Makes judgements about flavor, taste, aroma, colors, texture, or smoothness of products in order to inspect products for satisfactory production quality.* Provides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions and taking orders by phone and in person.* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales.* Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as a slicer, deep fryer, etc.* Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form.* Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.* Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.* Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.**Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.* Six months related work experience required.* Food Handler certification required.**Frequently exposed to equipment with sharp blades or edges.* Brookshire Grocery Company strives to provide a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment for its partners and customers.
