Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 3x12 Contract Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting patient and employee safety in a professional healthcare environment.
Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming individualized care plans.
Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in accordance with policy.
Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, utilizing the nursing process for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
Provide direction, training, and supervision of nursing personnel, delegating appropriately.
Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
Contribute positively to the unit's functioning by offering calm direction and reassurance to staff, departments, patients, and families.
BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (for CIRH ONLY)
This is a day shift position consisting of three 12-hour shifts.
