This position will float to multiple locations across CoxHealth campuses and will receive float pay of $9.00 per hour.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist Float provides professional respiratory focused intervention during all phases of the patient care stay. The Registered Respiratory Therapist Float can provide care throughout the hospital locations within the system. The Registered Respiratory Therapist Float assesses and assists in the determination of a respiratory plan of care based on physical assessment, diagnosis, and patient history. The Registered Respiratory Therapist Float may provide medicated and non-medicated therapies, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, oxygen administration and titration, diagnostic testing as related to ventilation and pulmonary function as well as arterial blood gas analysis.

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

No prior experience required

Provides care as appropriate to the age of the population served

Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities

Provides accurate and appropriate education to patients, students, and new staff

Adheres to infection prevention practices and facility safety policies and procedures

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Missouri State License for Respiratory

RRT credential from the NBRC (If applicable)
